In Memory: We Miss You
Charles "Chuck" Andreas,
67, Endicott, NY and formerly of Owego, NY passed away June 23, 2021. He was born on August 9, 1953 to Melvin and Elizabeth Andreas. Besides his parents, Chuck was predeceased by his wife, Gloria (Bender) Andreas. He is survived by his sons, Ian (Shannon) Andreas, Israel (Karen) Sak, and Mike (Michelle) Hills; his daughters, Ashley (Tim) Kushner and Alecia (Heather) Bender Fisher; sister, Kim (George) Ksionzyk; brothers, Kurt (Linda) Andreas, Craig (Traci) Andreas and Patrick (Nicole) Andreas; 12 grandchildren as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Chuck proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1972-1975. He retired from Binghamton University in 2021. Chuck was active in his community, participating in Binghamton University’s EAP Committee, Rock Against Suicide and Lick Breast Cancer Music Festival events, graduate of the Broome County Peace Officer Academy, and a proud life member of the Vietnam Veterans of America, VFW Glenn Warner Post #1371 Honor Guard and the George F. Johnson American Legion Post #1700. An avid sports fan, Chuck was the Raiders #1 fan. A Celebration of Chuck’s Life will be held on Saturday, July 3, 2021 from 2:00 – 5:00 pm at the VFW Glenn Warner Post #1371, 207 Main St., Owego, NY. Military honors will be held at 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers, his family requests that donations be made in Chuck’s name to Rock Against Suicide at www.rockagainstsuicide.com or Lick Breast Cancer Music Festival at www.lickbreastcancerfest.com.
